Libraries are the stores for books for reading of the authors. Libraries are like the archives for the books for the teachers, students and researchers but there are libraries that are not for the public as the books therein are full of secrets that must not be divulged. Book enthusiasts have become addicts to reading. They cannot do without book. Some have taken books as dose to stimulate sleep. Many had forgone foods with books. Books have rendered many professors to become mere sheep and vice versa. Through books, many have been indoctrinated to strange school of thoughts. Books are guides and the house for secrets. Books are the stores for knowledge and information published for as reference materials for the presence and posterity to correct ills and present facts with authorities depend on the users and owner’s agenda. Do we play with books? Nay, we read books to garner knowledge and earn respect simply because of the saying of the noblest one that says ‘he who seeks the blissful life of this world and the hereafter should seek knowledge’, another wise says ‘leaders are good readers’. What do they read? We read several items in different forms but mostly in a common language from the author’s perspectives and publishers’ standpoints. Reading is done to generate intellectual resources to develop the body, mind and the soul, positively and negatively. By devoting time for reading, one can traverse the world and engage the thoughts and analytical findings of the professional technocrats on different themes. By this, education has evolved. Libraries, open or secret, are created for selected or preferred readers and researchers that have eyes and minds to read new thoughts from intellectual people. Reading relates directly to education as readers are reading purposely to have right education and information to live decent life. An adage says ‘good readers are the good leaders’. He who desires to lead must read but not just read but read wide and read right. Reading requires frequent visits to the libraries by readers especially those libraries where the librarians have eyes and thirsts for new intellectual resource materials for the anticipated users in teachers, students, researchers, leaders, entrepreneurs and others. Just as the readers hunger for new books on the same topics from different authors, the librarians are always on internet surfing for new materials to boost the stocks in the library thereby preparing ground for the anticipated clients. The tripod of reading, education and library is inevitable to develop mankind, nations and institutions. Therefore, everyone should partake in encouraging reading and source books from libraries to develop the educational needs for personal growth and development including impacting others with what one has learnt from readings. The author, Amusa Abdulateef wrote “Today, reading books has gone beyond been at the conventional libraries but at every comfort zones like in the office, in the bedroom and other indoor rooms, in the car, in the park and other public places by the e-books on different e-reading tablets, reading e-billboards, mobile phones and laptops. We equally read from the social media and the other forms of media, print, electronic and broadcasting. The more we read, the more we discover new things, righteous and evils as crimes, and the more we can add positive values to one’s life and others. Students, teachers, public affairs analysts, social activists, advocates, political leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, professionals and others who relegate reading to the background is tired of success and breakthrough in their courses in life”.
