Following their other adventures, the Quartet of Innocence undertakes another mission for King Galath of Quandah. They are assisted by their old friend Lamghi, the black and gold dragon, though they have to do without the help and guidance of their friend and mentor Ozy. They travel to Xian, a land similar to ancient China in our world, to escort the Emperor’s daughter back to Quandah. When they arrive, things are not right, and they have a race against time to find the missing Princess.There are fights in different places where the individual skills of each are needed; Lamghi has perfected some unusual fire-related activities. They meet many different people and animals, including more dragons and learn more about themselves via Chinese Astrology. Finally, they earn the gratitude of the Emperor and escort the Princess back to Quandah. Meanwhile back in Quandah Lamghi’s baby dragon has been abducted but after another battle, the malevolent influence of Enneth is extinguished, and Lamghi’s household grows dramatically, and everyone looks forward to cementing the alliance by a wedding shortly.
