These 13 lessons contained in this book entitled, Spiritual Health Awareness, gives us a spiritual health checkup from God's viewpoint and our own. These are some questions, that our pastor wants each member to ask themselves. "How is my relationship with God and my fellow believers? "How do I prepare for the coming Glory of God?"These questions motivate us to once again search the Scriptures and review the lives of godly examples. Apostle Paul encourages us to do this in Romans 15:4-6. Romans 15:4-6 (WEY) 4 For all that was written of old has been written for our instruction, so that we may always have hope through the power of endurance and the encouragement which the Scriptures afford. 5 And may God, the giver of power of endurance and of that encouragement, grant you to be in full sympathy with one another in accordance with the example of Christ Jesus, 6 so that with oneness both of heart and voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Unit I begins with a question we must all answer, "Who are we?" The answer to this question must use God as its starting point. We use Abraham as our standard because Christians are the children of Abraham by faith in Christ Jesus. What we discover in our study of Abraham's is God show him the character of all of his descendants. Some have a heavenly nature, others are like the sand on the seashore and the restless sea is considered our enemy. In the last lesson of Unit I, Jesus helps to answer the question, "Do You Have Any Wine?"Unit II's question is "Who Is My Neighbor?" Jesus uses a self-satisfied, self-exalted lawyer to teach us who our real neighbor is. Jesus shows us the 7 blessings from the Good Samaritan. We also learn in Lesson 7 to correctly examine ourselves and this begins with our observance of the "The Lord's Supper." To maintain our focus on spiritual health awareness, the last lesson allows Apostle Paul to explain the heavenly vision. Unit III wraps up the series with a view of "The Coming Glory of God," by a study of the birth of Jesus. It is five lessons looking at the following: 1) The Forerunner's Coming, 2) The Righteous Parent, 3) The Birth of Living Manna, 4) The Witness of the Pastors, and 5) The Wisest of Men Follow the STAR. From these subjects, we pray our spiritual health is known. The more excellent news is that it does not matter where we are in our assessment, God can and will empower us to get better when we ask.Brother Johnny
