Inhaltsangabe

The lyrics of Rodney Lamar Washington are authentic, honest, beautiful, and inspiring. Written over a 40-year period, this collection of 214 songs are about life experiences, faith, love, social issues, and diverse relationships from childhood to adulthood. Washington’s passion as both a songwriter and an activist is evident. As a disabled veteran of the United States Navy, “For Those Who Answer the Call” is of particular significance to Washington. His understanding of military service inspired him to write this song as a tribute to those who have served in any branch during war or peacetime, especially those who have returned home bodily or mentally disabled and are adrift in various medical centers trying to receive the proper treatment.Washington’s gift of observation and love of language and music is evident in this original and stirring collection.
