Sad Monsters: 2 (Ripe) - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Disastrous doesn't begin to describe the situation facing Scottish psychologists Elspeth McGann and NSA code-breaker Cassuis Trenton. They've managed to avoid the Harvest but to what end?

In an attempt to restore its long-extinct masters, a rogue super-A.I invaded the planet and harvested most of humanity. Now, the survivors are left on a devastated Earth at the mercies of lesser aliens.

McGann and Trenton have one daring plan-teaming up with disillusioned alien Farmer Lester Rains, who has secured a beacon that may summon a more friendly alien species to their aid. If they can escape the planet, there might be hope. Venturing out into unknown and hostile worlds is a terrifying prospect but could lead to the salvation of what remains of humankind-if they can just live long enough and manage to outsmart the deadliest intelligence in the universe.
