• Name - exactly what you see it on the label of the bottle
• Country - from Scotland, USA, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan or elsewhere
• Region - if it’s a Scotch there are 6 main whisky distilling regions
• Bottler - because sometimes the bottler is different from the distiller
• Type - mark if it’s a single malt or a blend, a straight bourbon or a Tennessee...or something else
• Spirit Specifics - you can mark if the whiskey is a Cask Strength/Barrel Proof edition, write down the batch or bottle number if there is any
• Maturation Cask - was the whiskey matured in a new American oak barrel, used one, or else
• Finishing - has the spirit spent additional time in maturing in another cask such as sherry, port, rum…
• Color Meter - how dark is the dram in your hand
• Tasting Notes - write down the different flavors you’ve felt on the nose and palate. Does the spirit develop when adding a drop of water and is the finish shorter or longer than expected
• Whiskey Flavor Wheel - connect the points of the most common whiskey expressions to obtain a visual idea of the whiskey’s profile
• Rating - give the whiskey a score between 0 and 100 to finalize your impressions
