This is the main root cause for Black Teenage Crime. I reference Black Absentee Fathers a lot in this book because as a divorced Black Father myself, I could have easily become an Absentee Father. However, I wanted to be involved in my children’s lives as much as possible. I fought a lengthy visitation court battle in order to see my children in which a lot of men normally would have given up on pursuing or would not have pursued it in the beginning. As their father, I wanted to be able to impart Training, Leadership, Accountability, and Godly Spirituality into their lives as much as possible.
