Allison McKinley regularly reads books to children as an elementary school teacher. One day, she was inspired by her dog, Betty Jean, to create a book that showcases the importance of dog rescue and animal foster programs. Betty Jean Blue was the first foster dog Allison ever had, and since then, she and her husband have successfully rescued, fostered, and helped find homes for seven dogs. Dog rescue organizations like the one she works for, Pet Promise, ensure that rescued dogs are well-fed, receive critical medical attention, and find furever homes-all through donations and sponsorship from people like you!
