R.D. Cartwright was born in Charleston, SC on May 31, 1993, to a military family. He is the youngest of three siblings and grew up in various states across the country. He attended high school in Fayetteville, NC and after graduating he went on to attended Savannah State University and obtained his bachelor's degree in Biology. Soon after he moved to San Diego, CA where he served in the United States Navy as a Commissioned Officer. After four years of dedicated service, he decided that the military is no longer the life that he desired and made the choice to end his service on May 31, 2019. He currently stays in San Diego where he pursues his life long dream of being an author and create stories that would captivate the world.
