Meanwhile her mad great-aunts have reasons of their own to threaten Elspeth and Bella.But just who is the Bad Girl; Bella, her stepmother Elspeth or her mad great-aunts? Using her acting skills and all the snippets of accumulated knowledge about other peoples' weaknesses, Bella vanquishes her enemies in a final showdown which leaves her in control of her family business and her future. Her father would have been very surprised. She certainly surprised herself.
