The best place from which to derive poetry is life itself. And all of these poems are gleaned from my own personal experience and contain a variety of subject matter that includes the joy of Christmas, the uncertainty of love, the ludicrousness of politics, and the chaos and mayhem of war. These compositions represent just a few of the many themes found in this volume, along with a number of poems designed especially for Children, as well as many other topics. All of these poems were written in my teens and twenties, and therefore reflect considerably more naïveté than poetry from my later years. Nonetheless, if you enjoy poetry and you would like a little glimpse of life through the eyes of someone who has covered many walks of life then I believe you will thoroughly enjoy these examples.
