They sparked Clarice’s creativity and writing capabilities. Orie and Ding are based on Clarice’s family’s pets. Clarice’s cat lost his front right limb to cancer, and her dog was the best friend who helped the cat recover. Aunt Sophia’s chocolate chip cookie recipe is courtesy of Clarice’s daughter. Clarice is blessed to have a loving family and many treasured friends.
