For nearly 20 years, Silver Dolphin Books has published award-winning activity, novelty, and educational nonfiction books for preschoolers to 12-year-olds. Our focus is to create books that engage and inspire children to learn more about the world around them while fostering a love of reading, exploration, and creative expression. From adorably illustrated board books for toddlers, to interactive play and building sets, to sound books made for story time, we develop innovative books that both enlighten and entertain.

From a young age, Nichola Cowdery kept herself busy constantly drawing and creating. Much to her parents dismay, there wasn’t a surface in the house that Nichola didn’t like to draw on. She went on to study graphic design at Southampton University. Originally from Wales but now living in London with her family and two cats, Nichola works as a full-time illustrator. Before turning to illustration, she was a graphic designer in children’s publishing, working her way up from junior designer to art editor, a job she truly loved for its fast pace, bursting with creativity and most importantly fun! Nichola loves to push herself creatively and to discover new techniques, technology, and art courses, her favorite being "Make Art That Sells." Sitting at home sketching away, creating quirky, funny, and cute illustrations is what makes Nichola truly happy. She pinches herself everyday knowing she is doing something she loves.
