Parenting First Aid Study Guide by Marty Machowski provides a supportive small-group resource for parents to find hope, encouragement, and community as they navigate the challenges of raising children in a broken world.
This ten-discussion study guide covers the twenty chapters of Parenting First Aid, with each discussion spread over two weeks, so every week corresponds to a specific chapter in the book. Each session includes Scriptures for encouragement, excerpts from the book, thought-provoking discussion questions, and practical application exercises. Machowski points weary parents to rest in God’s sovereign grace, reminding them that true hope for their children doesn’t come from techniques or checklists, but from trusting Christ alone. Unlike many parenting resources that emphasize formulas, this guide fosters honest conversations about struggles and prayerful dependence on God’s ability to rescue and redeem.
In a world where parenting is increasingly difficult—with easy access to pornography, pervasive drug culture, and a distorted view of sexuality—this guide creates space for moms, dads, and guardians to share their burdens openly. Through community and prayer in a small group setting, parents are reminded they are not alone and can find strength in God and each other as they seek to shepherd their children’s hearts.
