Carlos and Whit live in very different places, but they both use their photos and words to share the beauty of their homes with the world. This chapter book written for middle school audiences includes four decodable texts focusing on consonant digraphs ch, ph, kn, wh, wr, ck, sh, th, the consonant trigraphs tch, dge, welded sounds ending with -ng, and bonus letters ff, ll, ss, and zz. This book is the first of many in development by Storyshares, the goal of which is to create a new shelf in the global library designed to reach even the most left-behind readers in middle school and beyond. It combines key science of reading principles with characters, topics, themes, and imagery built around young adult interests.
