Ace Ruffing is the political humorist equivalent of those “500 year storms” that come every 18 months now and are quickly forgotten. He drives an electric car and works for one of those companies that is automating away everyone’s jobs, and advocates for single-payer healthcare and a “living wage” to ease the transition to the coming Utopia (or Robot Apocalypse – honestly it’s a crap shoot). He recently toured the Great Democracies of Northern Europe, where they have gobs of windmills everywhere, and where if you want to ride the metro you just fricking walk onto it. Ace believes that the U.S. political system is probably hopeless, and thus the states of the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Upper Midwest, and West Coast should all join our great neighbor to the North and form a new contiguous nation, the United States of Canada.
