During their otolaryngology residency, Squires, Colombo, and McKinney searched in vain for a guide to interpreting audiograms that was suitable to their level of knowledge and suited to their needs. Now they provide a textbook to help clinicians in training and other non-audiologists who work in overlapping communications science learn now to interpret audiograms quickly and accurately. They cover pure-time audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance testing, and audiogram workbook. Among their topics are determining the type of hearing loss, assessing word recognition scores, evaluating acoustic reflexes, and basic to advanced audiograms.
