Inhaltsangabe

Second in the Tales of the Old Wild West series by prolific western author Doyle Trent. In the tradition of the John Wayne classic western films and legendary television series of Gunsmoke and Bonanza. The Wild West. If the elements, rattlers, coyotes, and Indian's didn't kill you...the person sitting next to you in the saloon just might...just for the hell of it. This series is presented as self-contained standalone story novels that do not have to be read in any particular order. It gives readers an entertaining glimpse into what individuals from all walks of life encountered as they traversed the untamed western landscape seeking fortune, glory, a new start, or keeping one step ahead of the law behind them. LUCK OF THE DRAW J.B. Watts liked no-limit poker and no-nonsense women, and now he was primed for both. He had come across a cache of gold in the New Mexico desert, and he figured his luck had turned. His luck had turned, all right-for the worse. The gold belonged to a dead man...J.B. was marked as a killer...and the only question was whether the law egged on by the victim's spitfire niece or a lynch mob led by the local banker would tie the rope around J.B.'s neck. J.B. had bucked a lot of odds, but never odds like these...with nobody drawing cards...and everybody drawing guns...
