The author was a classroom teacher for 34 years. She has a PhD in Literacy Education from the University of Minnesota and enjoyed her work both as an elementary teacher and later as a college professor. Her first book, The Child Who Changed the World, is a picture book with a pay-it-forward theme. Her second book, A Bear Named Howard, introduces readers to a world of talking teddy bears, amazing Therapy Dogs, and the adventures of bears given the name “Howard.” Along with her deep love for family and friends, the author is blessed to spend many joyous hours at the other end of a leash as her Therapy Dogs visit hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and other venues. A Tale of Two Teddy Bears is the second book in The Teddy Bear Chronicles.
