Marc Silber is an award-winning photographer, filmmaker, and educator who has dedicated his career to helping people master the art of photography and visual storytelling. Marc began his journey in photography in the 1960s, learning darkroom skills at the legendary Peninsula School in Menlo Park, CA, and later refining his craft at the San Francisco Art Institute — one of the nation’s most respected centers for art and photography. As an early educator with the National Outdoor Leadership School, he learned how to teach complex, life-critical skills clearly — an approach that now defines his photography instruction.

Today, Marc brings those decades of experience to a global audience. His award-winning Advancing Your Photography show has earned multiple Telly Awards and millions of views for its interviews with the world’s leading photographers. Through his books and videos, Marc distills professional techniques on composition, lighting, and visual storytelling into lessons anyone can apply to create images that inspire and connect.
