Meghan Babin is New England born, New York raised and, as well as being an author, she is the editor of Interweave Knits Magazine. Meghan started knitting in college; her mother taught her the basics one weekend when she was visiting home, and afterwards she started knitting in lectures and seminars.
After graduating she was commuting on the bus in and out of NYC and knitting became an essential form of meditation and escape. Eventually the owner of her local yarn shop approached her with a job offer and she helped run the store, learned about the yarn industry, and educated herself in fibre, and finally, began designing her own knitwear. Meghan decided to submit her designs to Interweave Knits, and, her submission was accepted, and several after. This developed further, and she is now the editor of Interweave Knits.
