Karin Atwood, only a few years out of high school and now a college student at the University of California at Berkeley during the turbulent 1970's, is hoping to find the one man who will ride in on his white horse and carry her far, far away. But the men with whom she has affairs are in various ways flawed: One is a restaurant entrepreneur, one a selfish frat boy, one is the owner of a shoe store and one thinks he can loosen her up with a little LSD. But Karin does not realize that 'the one' has been right in front of her all the time. When the truth hits her, complications occur that threaten to draw the one man she has dreamt about for years away from her.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
LR Buckman has written three published novels and her short stories were featured in two Chicken Soup for the Soul books. She founded Bay Area Writers and is a member of South Bay Writers Club. She is a Certified Nurse's Assistant and a copyeditor. She lives with her husband, one of her sons and her dachshund/chihuahua mix, Wa-wa.
