To taste the eyes is to open ones mind. In 1963, aliens visit Earth to complete an important mission. They must capture Franklin Beacon, whose physiological constitution is ripe for mutation. They believe he harbors the ability to destroy an invading life form, which cleanses their homeworld via light. This evil entity intends to invade Earth. The aliens maintain their existence, pasts, and cultures by consuming their fallen's eyes, stored in flasks. Beacon consumes them in order to transform. Matters go awry, and an inter-dimensional jaunt ensues--including the rise of a dystopian alter-world.
