Brian Hammar was born in Lowell Massachusetts. An Engineer and Pilot by training, he sought some other means of satisfying his creative aspirations. He had always been intrigued by the flight of passing clouds. Long before he took the controls of an aircraft, he flew among the clouds in his dreams. Mythology was also of great interest. The imaginative explanations that the classical writers offered for the development of the world stimulated his creative and technical curiosity. Legends and folklore of the North American Indians nurtured a similar fascination. Brian Hammar lives in New Hampshire with his wife, Betty.
