Reseña del editor:
According to Dean Hyers -- lifelong emotional intuitive, award-winning filmmaker, groundbreaking undercover agent trainer, successful entrepreneur, international speaker, and now best-selling author -- we all experience make-or-break moments where the quality of our performance seems to spell the difference between success and failure Maybe we're in a job interview, or a new business interview for the company we work for. Maybe we're pitching an idea in a meeting, or meeting with our boss or selling a product to a hot prospect. Maybe we're meeting somebody new in a networking conversation. Or maybe we're presenting an important topic to a room full of decision-makers. The farther we go in our careers, the higher the stakes in our presentations, and the more obstacles get in the way of performing powerfully and effectively. All too often we experience ourselves holding back when we need to be fully expressed. In this game-changing book, Dean breaks the challenge of presenting ourselves down to three simple areas, showing us how to: * Create a meaningful connection and positive chemistry with any audience in any scenario * Design compelling messages that speak to the interests of our audience, and leads them where we need them to go * Deliver these messages with attention-getting (and attention-sustaining) dynamism while still being true to our authentic selves With the lessons captured in this book, Dean shows us that we have the ability to move as far in our careers as we want to, presenting ourselves with confidence and charisma, and influencing even the most challenging audiences with truly winning presence.
Biografía del autor:
Dean Lincoln Hyers is a film director who became a spy-trainer, and then coached over $2 billion in winning competitive sales presentations using movie-set skills. Dean helps professionals instantly find their winning presence when they present or present themselves under pressure, even if they're terrified, unprepared, or not favored to win. What if you had the skills movie stars and secret agents have to create instant chemistry and rapport, to form connections under pressure, to say the right things even when there was no chance to prep, and to be dynamic on command? Hundreds of people have invited Dean and his partners at SagePresence® into their lives to develop the easy skills needed to make people say, "You had me at hello" when they speak, sell, lead, negotiate, and network. Dean Hyers began making full-length movies as a teenager, and became an entrepreneur in his twenties, directing electronic promotions for Hollywood blockbusters like Godzilla, Jumanji and Die Hard III. Dean put the first CD-ROM in a Rolling Stones Magazine, and directed ChexQuest, the first computer game distributed in a cereal box. Selling Digital Café to Campbell Mithun Advertising in 1999, Dean returned to the director's chair with his debut feature, Bill's Gun Shop, released through Warner Bros. In 2001, Dean was hired by the US Government to train undercover agents in acting skills for deep cover operations, after which Dean was inspired to apply his expertise to speaking and to helping business professionals manage stage fright. Dean is now a #1 Best-Selling Author with WINNING PRESENCE for Business Presenters, speaking internationally as he continues to write and develop independent movies.
