Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Aileen Kwun is a writer, editor, and critic based in New York. Her work has appeared in Domus, Dwell, Icon, Metropolis, and Surface, among other publications.

Bryn Smith is a graphic designer, writer, and critic. She lives in New York and has taught at Cooper Union, and the Rhode Island School of Design.

Featuring legendary figures from graphic, product, and industrial design, in addition to architecture, advertising, and pedagogy, the book will include a spectrum of talent within these disciplines - many contributors will have seen these professions develop in their lifetimes. Through an interview format, the authors will conduct conversations with each interviewee to bring historical nuance, daily practice, and iconic moments to the fore. Each portrait will be accompanied by a mix of archival material and photographs to illustrate the interviewee's career and anecdotal biography.
