When an execution is ordered of a man backed by hundreds whose vital services the city of Edo cannot function without, the Shogunate government seems powerless to carry out the sentence lest the city descend into chaos. And so Yamada Asaemon, the Shogun's sword tester and executioner, must mete out justice unaided in a manner that will keep Edo from exploding!
From Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima, the legendary creators of Lone Wolf and Cub, comes Samurai Executioner, a dark, complex exploration of Edo-period feudal Japan and the depths of the human spirit.
