The techniques presented here are streamlined through decades of experimentation, adjustments and simplification. The content was written and then refined from responding to questions on bee forums over the years so it is tailored to the questions that beekeepers, new and experienced, have. It is divided into three volumes and this edition contains only Volume I: Beginning Beekeeping Naturally.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Michael Bush é um dos principais proponentes da apicultura sem tratamentos. Ele tem tido um conjunto eclético de carreiras profissionais desde a impressão e artes gráficas, construção, programação de computadores e mais algumas pelo meio. Neste momento ele trabalha com computadores. Ele tem mantido abelhas desde o meio dos anos 70, usualmente desde duas a sete colmeias até o ano 2000. A Varroa forçou uma maior experimentação que necessitou de mais colmeias e o número de colmeias cresceu de forma contínua ao longo dos anos. Em 2008 ele tinha cerca de 200 colmeias. Ele está ativo em muitos dos fóruns de Apicultura na internet, na última contagem ele tinha cerca de 60000 mensagens entre eles todos.
