Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Denise is the author of over one hundred scholarly articles and three books. She has had a variety of leadership experiences throughout her academic and corporate career. After earning nursing degrees at Madonna University (BS), Texas Woman's University (MS), and the Catholic University of America (PhD), she completed postdoctoral training in infectious diseases at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and School of Medicine in the Department of Infectious Disease. She holds certificates in executive management in higher education from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and Carnegie-Mellon University.She is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.This book, "Nursing Leadership and Management: The Advance Practice Role," is one example of her ability to provide leadership for advance practice nurses. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in working with interdisciplinary health professionals and has been a role model in both formal and informal health care organizations. She has been recognized as a scholar, entrepreneur, business leader and clinician.
