Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Maria Montessori (1870-1952) was an Italian physician, educator, and pioneer in the field of early childhood education. After becoming one of the first female physicians in Italy, Montessori devoted her work to understanding how children learn and develop. Her observations led to the creation of the Montessori method, an educational system based on independence, sensory learning, and respect for the natural development of the child. Montessori schools spread rapidly across Europe and the United States during the twentieth century, and her ideas continue to influence educational practice worldwide.
