Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Charlotte Mary Yonge (1823-1901) was a prolific English novelist known for her historical fiction and stories written for young readers. Closely associated with the Oxford Movement within the Church of England, Yonge's works often emphasized moral development, faith, and the responsibilities of character. Over the course of her long career she produced numerous novels and educational works that remained widely read throughout the nineteenth century.
