Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) was a Bengali poet, writer, composer, and philosopher who reshaped modern Indian literature. Awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913, he was the first non-European laureate. Tagore's work spans poetry, fiction, drama, and essays, and is distinguished by its lyrical quality, philosophical depth, and engagement with both individual consciousness and universal themes.
