Jeremy D'Entremont is First Vice President and Historian of the American Lighthouse Foundation, as well as co-chairman of Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse. He is considered one of the finest writers and speakers/guides on the history and lore of lighthouses, especially of New England lighthouses. He is the author of several lighthouse books, including the regional bestseller, The Lighthouse Handbook: New England (Cider Mill Press 2008), as well as the producer of several lighthouse projects such as a lighthouse video and lighthouse CD ROM.  He provides the historical information for the Lighthouse Depot web site and he is a writer for Lighthouse Digest Magazine. He is also on the board  of the American Lighthouse Foundation, a non profit group dedicated to saving lighthouses and their history.
