Von der hinteren Coverseite

The Orvis Book of Dogs portrays the relationship between dogs and their human partners as no other book has before. With beautiful images by renowned photographer Denver Bryan and an inspired extended essay by leading sporting dog writer Tom Davis, this book gets at something deeply felt, but rarely captured on paper.

Many prized breeds are shown in glorious full color - lots of Labs and goldens, but also Brittany, Gordon, red, and English setters; pointers; springer spaniels; cocker spaniels; and Weimaraners. The book captures the defining characteristics of each breed.

The dogs in this book are shown in action through dynamic photo sequences. But the stories and insights conveyed here are also about partnership - the mystical rapport shared with our canine friends at home and in the woods, fields, and marshes.

This book will be treasured reading for those who value man's best friend.
