Kathie Hightower and Holly Scherer are military spouses; Hightower was also active-duty Army and an Army reservist. They write the "Married to the Military" column in the Air Force/Army/Marine Corps/Navy Times newspapers, the "Dare to Dream" column in Military Spouse magazine, a column on mobile careers in Military Money magazine, and a column for Military.com. Since 1994, they have presented their "Follow Your Dreams While You Follow the Military[trademark]" workshops throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. Hightower lives in Tacoma, Washington, and Scherer lives near Memphis, Tennessee.
