Bix seeks to explain the often complex and difficult ideas in Jurisprudence clearly, but in a way that avoids distortion of the ideas through over-simplification. Brian Bix is the Frederick W. Thomas Professor for the Interdisciplinary Study of Law at the University of Minnesota Law School and holds a joint appointment in the philosophy department.
