She is the former editor-in-chief of Silent News Newspaper, news reporter for DeafNation Newspaper, and the author of many articles, newsletters, and marketing materials aimed at the deaf community. She received her B.A. in communication from Gallaudet University and later taught American Sign Language at both Harper and Columbia College.
