John D. Manton is a graduate in Modern Languages of Cambridge University, England. For 28 years, up to his retirement, he was Lecturer, then Senior Lecturer, in German at Loughborough University, England.
He has translated into English several scholarly books originally published in German; in particular he was involved, with others, in the translation of the New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology.
For 35 years he was an Elder at Holywell Free Church in Loughborough.
