Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Jeremiah Conway is a professor of philosophy at the University of Southern Maine. He has won the university's Outstanding Teaching Award several times, has been awarded the university's endowed Russell Chair in Philosophy and Education, and has received the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship. He has published over forty articles on teaching and philosophy in scholarly journals. He regularly speaks at education forums put on by organizations such as the Maine Humanities Council and the Association for Core Texts and Courses. Professor Conway earned a B.A. from Fordham University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Yale University. He was editor-in-chief of The Maine Scholar for thirteen years. In addition to teaching, he practices Irish set-dancing, keeps an old accordion warm, and likes to travel the back roads of Maine and Portugal, his wife's native country. He lives in Portland, Maine.
