Illustrator Holly Stone-Barker graduated with a BFA in communication design from Pratt Institute in New York. She works as a freelance illustrator and enjoys teaching. Stone-Barker's colorful illustrations are created with a variety of different papers that she finds in her travels. Back in her studio, she refines colors and textures with paint. Her meticulous paper cutting creates a richness and magic that brings her characters to life.
The House That Witchy Built is her second children's book with Dianne de Las Casas and with Pelican Publishing. Stone-Barker lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with her husband and two children.
