Max adores Regina and only wants to make her happy. So instead of scouring for food like the rest of the magpies, Max swoops through the sky with Regina in search of the perfect shoe for building a nest. She dreams about beaded blue espadrilles and delicate doll slippers, but when Max embarrasses her with a clunky basketball sneaker, Regina takes flight.
Brokenhearted, Max leaves to join a different flock, and Regina worries that he is gone for good. Will the two lonely magpies ever reunite? Complete with vibrant artwork, saturated with background shades of reds and pinks, this sweet love story will warm hearts of all ages.
