When Jake accidentally unlatches the gates of all the animal pens, it's only a matter of minutes before chaos and hilarity take over Reliant Stadium. In a matter of minutes, we find the participants and attendees scrambling for safety as Jake accidently releases the latches on the animal pens at this popular, annual Texas show. Realizing what he has done, Jake crafts a clever plan to fix the mess he has created and saves the day by recapturing all the escaped livestock.

Dotti Enderle launched her publishing career in 1995, writing for several popular children's magazines. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and the Writer's League of Texas. Enderle and illustrator Chuck Galey also collaborated on The Cotton Candy Catastrophe at the Texas State Fair, published by Pelican. She is also the author of Pelican's Granny Gert and the Bunion Brothers and Hidden.

Chuck Galey owns his own illustration studio and has illustrated several children's books, including My Brother Dan's Delicious, SantaSaurus, Jay and the Bounty of Books, Jazz Cats, and Rock 'n' Roll Dogs, all published by Pelican. In addition to his picture books, he has illustrated over fifty educational books.
