David A. Newsome, M.D., is the president of the Retinal Institute of Louisiana and was a clinical professor of ophthalmology at Tulane University School of Medicine from 1988 to 1995. He received his medical degree from Columbia University.
Chef John Besh was named one of Food and Wine magazine's Top 10 Best New Chefs of 1999 and nominated as Best Chef, Southeast, by the James Beard Foundation in 2005.
