"The World's Desire, co-written by H. Rider Haggard and Andrew Lang, is a continuation of the Odysseus myth. In this romance, Aphrodite compels Odysseus to leave his ruined home in Ithaca in pursuit of Helen of Troy, his love before Penelope. Helen resides in Egypt during the time of the Mosaic Exodus, so Odysseus witnesses many of the plagues and miracles recorded in the Old Testament." —visualhaggard.org
