The Dramatists Guild Resource Directory 2011: The Writer's Guide to the Theatrical Marketplace - Softcover

The Dramatists Guild of America was established over 80 years ago, and is the only professional association which advances the interests of playwrights, composers and lyricists writing for the living stage. The Guild has over 6,000 members nationwide, from beginning writers to the most prominent authors represented on Broadway, Off-Broadway and in regional theaters.

The 2011 Dramatists Guild Resource Directory is the official annual reference of the Dramatists Guild of America for playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists. For information on the Guild and its activities, http://www.dramatistsguild.com.

New to the 2011 edition:

• streamlined opportunities and other entries for easier reference and use
• an extended list of submission opportunities for ten minute and other short plays
• opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered dramatists
• Updated throughout, included an updated bibliography of books for dramatists

The DG Resource Directory is an essential tool for any playwright, from the novice to the experienced. It is user-friendly and complete, and playwrights from all over the country will find the regional listings and city guides to be invaluable. No playwright should be without it.

 —Rebecca Gilman, Playwright

The annual guild resource directory is the one—perhaps the only—indispensable guide I recommend to all practicing and emerging playwrights.

—Michael R. Weller, Playwright

I can't imagine anyone writing for the theatre who won't find it useful bordering on essential.

—Jeffrey Sweet, Playwright
