The least known portion of the Bible, for most people, is the last part of the Old Testament: the prophets. The neglect of these books by the general reader is unfortunate, for they contain important spiritual truths, some of the greatest literary masterpieces, and a great deal of human interest.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Sanford Calvin Yoder (1879-1975), was ordained as minister in Chappell, Nebraska in 1911, and as bishop in 1913. He served as secretary for the Mennonite Board of Missions from 1921 to 1944. He was president of Goshen College from 1923 to 1940. Yoder was a leader of Mennonites in the Midwest throughout his life. He authored several books including Things That Remain and Poetry Of The Old Testament. Born near Iowa City in 1879, he married Emma Stuzman in 1903. They had three children.
