Ryan J. Pemberton has degrees in theology from Duke Divinity School and Oxford University, where he lived in C. S. Lewis's former home, served as president of the Oxford University C. S. Lewis Society, and cofounded the Oxford Open Forum, an interreligious dialogue group. Ryan has written for Christianity Today, Image Journal, Duke University chapel, Bible Study Magazine, Relevant Magazine, and To An Unknown God; his memoir, Called: My Journey to C. S. Lewis's House and Back Again, traces his time in Oxford. Ryan currently serves as minister for university engagement at First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and their two children. Dr. Tony Ash has researched, read, studied, lectured, and written about C.S. Lewis and his essays, lectures, and books for nearly five decades. He retired from Abilene Christian University's College of Biblical Studies in 2015, after more than 40 years as a professor, lecturer, division chair, and minister. Dr. Ash is also the author of more than a dozen books. Earlier, he was a professor and lecturer at Pepperdine University's School of Religion. Dr. Ash traveled globally, with multiple visits to Oxford for study, lectures, and to lead tours focused on C. S. Lewis. He earned a Ph.D. in Church History at the University of Southern California.
