Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Jon Jory has had an almost fifty year theatre career as playwright, director, producer, teacher and theatre commentator. He founded the Long Wharf Theatre Company in New Haven, Connecticut, The Humana Festival of New Plays, was Producing Director of Actors Theatre of Louisville for many years, directed at almost every major regional company and in nine nations. He taught for a decade in the University of Washington Graduate Program in Acting and now teaches at The Santa Fe University of Art and Design. He is generally regarded as the country's preeminent adapter of the novels of Jane Austen for the stage. His books. "Tips for Actors" and "Tips for Directors" are widely used in American actor training programs. He has three children, Jessica, Victor and Miranda and is married to costume designer Marcia Jory.
