Janet CarruthJanet loves all types of handwork. Since her mother was a home economics teacher, she learned her way around cloth, thread, and sewing machines at an early age. Janet teaches quilting and embroidery classes at The Quilted Apple in Phoenix, Arizona. Her designs are embued with a great sense of color. She is an expert on working with wools, repairing old woolwork and is a dedicated rug hooker. Janet has authored several books, including one with Design Originals on rug hooking.Julie HendricksenJulie has collected antique quilts for over 20 years and has shared her collection with guilds from around the Midwest. More recently, she began collecting antique penny rugs, several of which are shared in this book. Julie is the owner of J.J. Stitches, a quilt shop in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, which specializes in antique reproduction fabrics. Julie thanks J.J. Stitches' employees Teresa Miller and Kaye Gerber for their help with designing and stitching.
