Love, Longing and Lust

From hearts and flowers to down and dirty, Best Gay Romance 2013 has both heat and sweet.

A blue-collar bear's secret crush on his hard-bodied coworker is unexpectedly (and repeatedly) requited in T. Hitman's "One." A boy-next-door is abandoned when his date has a chance to meet Ann-Margret backstage in Max Pierces's "Viva Las Vegas"but then he takes a bet on love with someone else and, against every odd, wins. In Michael Bracken's "Total Package," a closeted postman in Texas delivers the mail and receives, in return, real friendship and true romance. A broad-shouldered French pastry maker invites a lucky customer across the counter in Neil Plakcy's "The Baker."

These heady, head-over heels, heart-pounding stories of gay romance make for inspiring bedtime reading. You will be rooting for these men from the very first sentence.
